Facts about Olivia

Describe your work at WVU in three words.
Rewarding, challenging, impactful.

What is the best place on campus to take a break?
Serenity Place at Arnold House, because we have great snacks, comfy couches, and just overall positive vibes!

What motivates you to get up and go to work each day?
My job is incredible! I get the opportunity to positively impact the lives of students in, seeking, and supporting recovery every single day. I helped start the Collegiate Recovery Program when I moved to West Virginia in 2015, so it is truly humbling and amazing to be leading the team today.

What are your favorite hobbies?
Running lots of miles, lifting moderately heavy things, baking, and napping.

What is your favorite place to travel/visit? or If you could visit anywhere, where would you go?
I did a semester abroad in New Zealand when I was an undergrad, and I would love to go back someday! And, yes, I did do every Lord of the Rings tour I could find.

What is your name, unit, and position?
Olivia Dale Pape, Director, WVU Collegiate Recovery Program
