How do you define leadership?
Leadership is working to promote the best interests of those I serve - students, colleagues, and West Virginia University.

Where did you attend undergrad/graduate school?
I earned my BS in Journalism and JD at West Virginia University. I earned an MS in Elementary Education at California University of Pennsylvania.

What was your first job?
I got my first job at 16 at the Fayette County Courthouse (PA) in the Commissioner's Office doing clerical work.

What are your favorite hobbies?
Cross stitching, reading, growing orchids and other house plants.

How did your career path lead you to WVU?
I taught 6th grade for 11 years at All Saints Regional School in Masontown, PA until the school closed. A good friend told me about a part-time advising position at Westmoreland County Community College and I worked the Uniontown Education Center for almost one year before I was hired at WVU. I love working for my alma mater!
