Art, Libraries, and Community during Crisis and Isolation: Presentation #4

Sally Brown serves as Exhibits Coordinator for WVU Libraries. She is also an artist and writer who focuses on women and feminist art and curatorial accessibility. She holds an MA in Art History, MPA in Nonprofit Administration and BA in Studio Art. Her art has been in exhibits in the US and UK. She has won two awards for illustration. Her writing has been published in Hyperallergic, The Appalachian Curator and Woman's Art Journal among others.
Brown has not let the pandemic slow her down and has continued to put together art exhibitions in a virtual space, enlightening users to social justice. Her upcoming presentation will touch on the relevance of art in the libraries with COVID-19, Black Lives Matter, and the 2020 United States presidential election as well as paying special attention to imagery and how Libraries play a role in protecting and sharing information. This is a follow up to her initial Art in the Libraries Virtual Program, on "Art, Libraries and Community during Pandemic Isolation" which can now be viewed on Youtube.
